MILDRED KLEIN
Mildred (Taraskiewicz) Klein of Gladwin passed away at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland at the age of 85.
Millie was born in Detroit to Joe and Josie Taraskiewicz on Oct. 13, 1931. Moving to Hillman in 1946, she graduated from Hillman High in 1949. She married Gerald Klein in 1949. While living in Alpena she worked at Jim and Ann’s Drive Inn restaurant, The Grove (19th Hole) then as an assistant to Dr. Wm. Oles DDS.
Moving back to Detroit area she retired from General Motors. After retiring she moved to Gladwin working with the legal system of the court.
She is survived by her four children, Kathy (Roy) Hall of Coleman, Jerry (Tammy) Klein of Macomb, Gloria (Bob) Butler of Gaylord and Michael Klein of Gaylord; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Frances Cadieux of Royal Oak, Stasia Hubert of Alpena, Rose Wieland of Chesterfield and Mary (Don) Cook of Alpena. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law Brenda Klein.
