Marvella Hildeguard Wooll, 92, of 489 Oliver St. Alpena, was called to the Lord’s House Sunday, Sept.17, 2017 after an extended stay at Sally’s Care Home.

Marvella was born Jan. 22, 1925, to Edward and Hedwig (Ritthaler) Kramm. She was a lifelong resident of Alpena and worked at the Garment Factory, as well as the Alpena General Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, quilting, and arts and crafts in general. Marvella was also a fantastic cook, she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxillary.

Marvella is survived by her three children, Robert, Marva Smith, Richard; eight grandchildren, David Smith, Lisa Hilberg, Heather Beavers, Ryan Wooll, Eric Wooll, Trevor Wooll, Melissa Neckel, Matthew Wooll; eight great grandchildren; a sister in-law, Gloria Berry; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Wooll; her son, Jeffery; and five siblings, Dorothy Sims, Irene Konecke, Bernice Daly, and Ermagart Robb, Geraldine Kramm. A very warm thank you to the wonderful staff at Sally’s Care Home, the staff from Hospice of Michigan for their exceptional care and Bob Werth, Marvella’s guardian, who was always there for her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at McWilliams Funeral Home from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. and will resume on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at McWilliams Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev.
