CONNIE MARIE BEDARD

Connie Marie Bedard, 61, of Alpena, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena, surrounded by her loving family. Connie was born March 24, 1956 in Pontiac, to Lloyd and Laura (Olson) Sweet. She married David Bedard on Aug. 10, 1991 at Alpena Free Methodist Church. Many people will remember Connie from her working at Lud’s and then McDonald’s Restaurants here in Alpena. The thing she loved and treasured most was her 13 grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, David; five children, Sherry (Nash) Wainwright of Virginia Beach, VA, Lonnie (Tracie Busscher) Orban, Lisa (Kyle) Van Wormer both of Alpena, Matt (Jennie) Orban of Lachine, Mary (Matt) Hepburn of Alpena; 13 grandchildren, Brooke, Drake, Sam, Tanner, Amy, Zac, Justin, Kaylyn, Tyler, Claire, Cameron, Kayleb, Karsen; her mother and step-father, Laura and Harold Attwell; nine siblings, Cathleen (Leroy) Reamer, Lloyd (Laura) Sweet, Mary Cagle, Thomas Sweet, Beverly (Kevin) MacLachlan, Barbara Severino, Jonathan (Beverly) Sweet, James (Jackie) Sweet, Harold Attwell; three half-sisters, Tammy (Shawn) Masters, Maggie (Kirt) Sweet, Donna (Al) Sweet; and three step-sisters, Dawn (Mike) Soltysiak, Cindy (Ron) Evans, Darla (Steve) Merritt. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Sweet and a step-brother, Grant Attwell. Connie Bedard is at McWilliams Funeral Home-Alpena where friends may call on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. with Rev. Rich George officiating.
