LAURA G. BROW

Laura was born Dec. 11, 1933, in Alpena to Clifford and Betty (Judkins) LaFave and after a tragic fire was adopted by Merrick and Adeline (LaFave) Young. She married Robert Brow March 19, 1955, in Alpena. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1995. Laura was an RN for over 20 years, serving approximately her last 10 years at Alpena General Hospital. Her and her husband moved to the Hubbard Lake area in 1984. She loved to knit, crochet, quilt and sew, even many of her own clothes.

Surviving are two sons, Merrick (Sandy) Brow of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Phillip Brow of Hubbard Lake; a sister, Maxine Gagnon of Alpena; a brother-in-law, Richard (Velma) Brow of Traverse City, Mich.; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Brow Jr. in 1964 and three half-sisters.

Laura Brow is at McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena where friends may call on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. with Rev. Susan Platt officiating.
