An Alpena man police believe intended to deliver methamphetamine is in jail with a $40,000 bond, according to a news release from the Alpena Police Department.

The arrest stemmed from an early-morning traffic stop on June 17 by the Alpena Police Department. During the stop, officers found more than 12 grams of methamphetamine.

The man has been arraigned in 88th District Court on the charge of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and as a habitual offender. He remained lodged in the Alpena County Jail on Wednesday morning.
