Montmorency County Inmates lodged in Alpena County Jail: 13

June 20

11:39 p.m.: Deputies responded to a dispute in Briley Township; it was a verbal dispute. Parties were separated, deputies cleared without incident.

June 21

5:46 p.m.: Hillman Fire Dept responded to a tree across the roadway on Red Pine Dr. The tree was cleared off the road and units cleared at 6:20 p.m.

8:18 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Riemann Rd for a report of a bear that would not leave the property. When the officer arrived, the bear was gone.

10:58 p.m.: Deputies responded to a dispute in Albert Township; one of the subjects had an out of county warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to Alpena County Jail where they were lodged.

June 22

9:53 a.m.: A report of a vehicle parked at the fairgrounds was investigated by deputies, the vehicle was towed from the location.

5:06 p.m.: While on routine patrol deputies initiated a stop in Albert Township, the driver was found to have a warrant out of Montmorency County, she was arrested and lodged on her warrant.

June 23

10:31 a.m.: A resident in Albert Township on West Twin Lake called to report his pontoon boat stolen, deputies began to search for the pontoon, later the owner called to advise it had floated down the lake. Deputies were advised.

1:17 p.m.: A male citizen called to report vehicles blocking the boat launch at Lake 15, deputies responded to the lake but there were no vehicles blocking the boat launch.

June 24

12:51 a.m.: A vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; an officer responded to take the report and verify damages. No one was injured.

10:01 p.m.: A deputy conducted a routine traffic stop on M-33 in Briley Township; the driver was arrested for OWI. She was transported to Alpena County Jail where she was lodged.

June 25

3:18 p.m.: An officer responded to a B&E of a residence on Dorothy St in Albert Twp. The complaint is still under investigation.

June 26

1:02 p.m.: A DNR Officer responded to a trespass complaint on County Rd 612. A subject was cutting firewood on the property. The subject was located and given a warning.
