A Celebration of Cajun Music

A celebration of Cajun music will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m., at Turning Brook, 300 Oxbow Dr., Alpena.

The Cajun people have existed in South Louisiana for over 200 years. Their music still lives in the area’s dancehalls, restaurants, and auditoriums. Their bands perform throughout the world. Enjoy the infectious rhythms and join with them in the “Joi de vi” (the joy of life).

Prior to the pandemic, Don Londo and his wife Evelyn traveled extensively throughout South Louisiana. They have experienced Cajun music in all the venues: dance halls, restaurants, auditoriums, TV, and radio shows. It is their privilege to share this little-known aspect of American culture.

Pickleball

ALL Pickleball is played from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the APlex. Call the ALL office at 989-358-7207 for details.
