Feb. 8th

5:04 a.m.: A report was made of a suspicious vehicle in the Ace Hardware parking lot in Hillman, MCSO Deputies responded. Deputies located the vehicle and found the driver had pulled over to get some sleep after driving 18 hrs.

7:46 p.m.: MCSO picked up a subject on a warrant; he was arrested and lodged.

Feb. 10th

6:39p.m.: A car/deer accident was reported on M 32 near McCormick Lake Rd. MCSO Deputies responded. No injuries were reported.

8:42 p.m.: A male subject was arrested in Oscoda County on a Montmorency County warrant. A male subject was transported to MCSO Jail and lodged.

Feb. 11th

2 a.m.: A Briley Township resident reported that they had some tools stolen out of their home while they were gone. MCSO Deputy responded to the home. This is an on-going investigation.

6:41 p.m.: MCSO dispatch received a call reporting a car/deer accident on M-33 near Big Tower Rd. No injuries were reported. Owner’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

9:52 p.m.: MCSO dispatch received a report of a commercial alarm at the Dollar General in Lewiston. MCSO Deputies responded and found the building was secure.

Feb. 12

1:50a.m.: MCSO dispatch received report of horses in the middle of the road on M-32 near Ulshaffer Rd. A MCSO Deputy responded.

10:15 a.m.: A citizen of Hillman Township called to report she slid into the stop sign at the corner of Pine Oaks Rd and Pleasant Valley, the Road Commission was notified.

7:14 p.m.: Deputies and DNR officers responded to a dispute in Albert Township; the subject was arrested and lodged.

Feb. 13th

1:43 p.m.: An injured deer was reported in Hillman Township, Deputies responded to dispatch the deer.

2:23 p.m.: A resident in The Village of Hillman called to report damage to her residence.

Feb. 14th

11:50 a.m.: A subject driving on M-32 in Rust Township noticed a vehicle on the side of the road with its hazard lights on, the driver appeared to be having a medical issue. A MCSO deputy and Hillman EMS responded to the scene; the driver was having mechanical issues and was waiting for a tow truck. All units cleared without incident.

12:57 p.m.: A snowmobile on fire in Albert Township was reported by the driver, no injuries were reported. Albert Township Fire and EMS along with DNR CO responded to the scene.

10:52 p.m.: Deputies responded to a commercial alarm in Briley Township; the building was found to be secure. Deputies cleared without incident
