Alleged speedster nabbed driving 100 mph
The Michigan State Police said troopers stopped a Lachine man driving more than 100 mph heading south out of Rogers City at about 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Chasyn Wilkinson, 34, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, third offense after he drove 103 mph in a 65 mph zone on U.S.-23 near Petersville Road in Rogers Township.
Several empty beer cans on the passenger-side floor and signs of intoxication alerted troopers Wilkinson might be intoxicated after he was stopped for the speeding violation.
The driver was lodged in the Presque Isle County Jail and arraigned in the 89th District Court, police said.
