Sept. 14

12 a.m.: Lewiston Fire Department responded to a transformer explosion near Marion St in Albert Twp. PIE&G was contacted and all fire units cleared at 12:28.

7:04 p.m.: MCSO Deputies were requested to Briley Township for civil standby.

8:21 p.m.: MCSO Deputies were requested on County Rd 612 in Albert Township for a car/deer accident. Single vehicle struck a deer near Ann Arbor Rd. M & D Towing responded to tow the truck and no injuries were reported.

10:01 p.m.: MCSO Deputies were requested in Albert Township for the complaint of gun shots in the area of George Rd. Deputy responded to the area and was not able to find where the shot came from.

10:39 p.m.: MCSO Deputies responded to a civil dispute in the Village of Hillman. Upon arrival deputies found both parties in the home and both deny there was a dispute; deputies cleared scene.

Sept. 15

5:27 a.m.: Commercial alarm at the Rite Aid in Lewiston. MCSO Deputies responded and found that the building was secure.

3:24 a.m.: Deputy responded to an alarm in Albert Township; the owner reported that the cleaning lady set it off.

7:12 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residential burglar alarm in Briley Township, the building was found to be secure.

9:14 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported in Briley Township; multiple MCSO deputies responded to the scene. The male subject was arrested and lodged on domestic violence charges.

Sept. 16

8:10 a.m.: A possible B&E was reported in the Village of Hillman, it was found to be a family member of the homeowner, officer cleared without incident.

3:08 p.m.: The caretaker of a business in Albert Township came into the lobby of the Sheriff’s Department to report that it appears someone was trying to break into the business. A deputy responded to the scene; this investigation is ongoing at this time.

7:59 p.m.: An Albert Township resident reported barking dog unknown location. MCSO Deputies were advised to patrol area.

9:13 p.m.: An Albert Township resident reported several dogs in their yard. Michigan DNR responded to the home and owner was given a verbal warning of dogs at large.

10:56 p.m.: A request for a welfare check on an Avery Township resident. MCSO Deputy responded to the home and found the homeowner in good health.

Sept. 17

12:24 a.m.: 911 call reporting that an elk was hit on M-32 east of Hossler Rd. MSCO Deputy and Tri Township EMS responded. All patients were treated and released on scene.

9:17 a.m.: MSCO Deputies were requested for civil standby in Briley Township.

10:11 a.m.: A female in the lobby with a Chocolate Lab. Owner of the lab was contacted and agreed to pick up dog at the ECAS after work.

11:09 a.m.: A census bureau worker reported a power line across a driveway in Albert Township. Lewiston Fire responded and found it was a low-lying cable line.

7:37 p.m.: Michigan DNR completed traffic stop on M32 near KB Farms RD. A female was taken into custody for OUID. Female was transported to MCSO Jail and lodged.

Sept. 18

12:48 a.m.: MSCO Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Hillman Township. A female was taken into custody for domestic violence and lodged at MCSO jail.

6:01 a.m.: A residential motion alarm was activated. MSCO Deputies responded but prior to arrival were canceled due to accidental activation per the homeowner.

12:07 p.m.: MCSO Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the Village of Hillman. One male was taken into custody on domestic violence charges and lodged at MSCO jail.

12:27 p.m.: MCSO responded to a civil dispute over property lines in Albert Township. Parties were advised to contact the court to settle dispute.

8:21 p.m.: A car/deer accident was reported in Hillman on County Rd 459. MCSO Deputy responded and no injuries were reported.

8:25 p.m.: An Albert Township resident reported a male hit with a chopping axe. MCSO Deputies, Michigan DNR and Albert Township EMS responded to the scene. One male was taken to the hospital.

12:45 p.m.: Residential alarm was reported to MSCO dispatch by ADT. Michigan DNR responded and found home to be secure.

1:39 p.m.: A report of car/deer accident in Montmorency Township on Morrow Rd. MCSO Deputy responded and no injuries were reported.

Sept. 19

11:30 a.m.: 911 call reporting a single rollover accident on Meridian Line Rd near Old State. MCSO Deputies, Michigan State Police, Albert Township Fire/EMS responded. All patients were treated and released on scene.

3:46 a.m.: A resident from the Village of Hillman reported a female walking down State St screaming. MCSO Deputy responded and escorted female to her home.

9:54 p.m.: A report was made to MCSO Dispatch of an erratic driver on M-32 traveling from Hillman towards Atlanta. MSCO Deputy responded to the given location and no citations were issued.

10:13 p.m.: Off duty Deputy reported an alarm activated at a residence in Canada Creek Ranch. CCR Security and deputy responded to the home and found it to be a false alarm.

Sept. 20

8:13 a.m.: A call reporting car/deer accident on McSwain Rd. MCSO Deputy responded and no injuries were reported.

4:12 p.m.: 911 call reporting male involved in a boating accident on Rush Lake. MCSO Deputies and Hillman EMS responded. A male was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

7:36 p.m.: An Avery Township resident called to report neighbors’ dog in their yard barking. MCSO deputy responded and upon arrival dog was at owner’s home. It was determined to be a neighborly civil dispute.

9:24 p.m.: MCSO Deputy completed a traffic stop on M-32 just east of Atlanta. It was discovered the male driver did not have insurance, was taken into custody and lodged at MCSO jail.
