ALPENA — Christopher Olsen, of Alpena, is headed toward a plea deal, his attorney said Monday.

Olsen, a former maintenance worker and janitor at All Saints Catholic School in Alpena, is charged with possession of child porn after thousands of images of child sexually abusive material were found on his phone.

He appeared briefly in court Monday. Defense attorney Matt Wojda said he’s optimistic the parties will reach a plea agreement.

Olsen next appears in court Oct. 5.
