July 27

11:29 a.m.: An adjoining jurisdiction called to request deputies attempt to pick up a subject on a felony warrant out of their office. Deputies responded, took the subject into custody and he was lodged for pickup.

12:28 p.m.: An out of town resident called to report that while he was fishing on a lake in Montmorency County the license plate on his boat trailer was stolen, the plate was entered as stolen on LEIN.

12:33 p.m.: A resident of Hillman called to report she was being harassed by another Hillman Township resident, a deputy responded and spoke with the individual, investigation is ongoing.

5:19 p.m.: Two people driving down Hossler Rd in Briley Township called to report a tree that was sparking on a power line, Tri Township Fire Department responded to the scene along with PIE&G

7:32 p.m.: An Albert Township resident reported having issues with their water, Albert Township Fire Dept responded, turned water off for resident and helped person get into contact with local plumber.

7:59 p.m.: Welfare check was requested on an Albert Township resident from relatives out of the area. MCSO Deputy responded to find elderly female at home alert.

9:31 p.m.: A noise complaint report came into MCSO Dispatch of dog barking within a duplex apartment. MCSO Deputy responded and a citation was issued for disturbing the peace.

July 28

1:16 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a 2-vehicle accident on Co Rd 612 in Albert Township. Deputies, fire, and EMS responded. No injuries were reported.

3:22 p.m.: MCSO was advised of an erratic driver on M-32 near Niergarth Rd in Rust Township. A deputy located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. A 44-year-old female was taken into custody for driving without a license. She was lodged.

7:18 p.m.: Lewiston fire responded to a power line down on Sloan Trail in Albert Township. No fire was reported, and PIE&G was notified.

7:41 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a domestic dispute at the Hilltop Party Mart in the Village of Hillman. Deputies responded and located one of the vehicles described. It was found to be just two brothers fighting and no one wanted to press charges.

11:22 p.m.: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on M-32 on Smith Flats in Avery Township. A 23-year-old male was taken into custody for OWI. He was lodged.

July 29

11:37 a.m.: MCSO was advised of a residential burglar alarm on Ferguson Rd in Hillman Township. A deputy responded to investigate. The alarm company called back and stated it was a false alarm per the homeowner. The deputy was advised to disregard.

12:46 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver that just turned South on M-33 in Avery Township. All units were advised.

12:50 p.m.: Deputies responded to a verbal dispute on Mantz St in Albert Township. The parties were separated.

1:12 p.m.: A deputy assisted 2 subjects on Co Rd 624 near the trail head by transporting them to their residence in Hillman Township. It was found that their ORV was stuck.

10:50 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a suspicious vehicle on S Airport Rd in Briley Township. Deputies responded and located the vehicle described. It was found that the driver was lost and trying to find someone that he had been in contact with.

July 30

3:22 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a residential fire alarm in the Village of Hillman. The keyholder was called and advised that it was a false alarm, no response was needed at this time.

4 a.m.: A deputy responded to a noise complaint of a car alarm going off at a residence on M-32 near KB Farm Rd in Vienna Township. It was found that a child set the alarm off.

10:24 a.m.: A deputy and a trooper responded to a domestic dispute on Co Rd 612 in Albert Township. The parties were separated.

11:31 a.m.: A trooper and fire were dispatched to a residential fire alarm in Albert Township. Everything was found to be OK and it was accidentally activated.

4:05 p.m.: A deputy responded to an ongoing neighbor dispute. The situation was resolved for today.

4:21 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on M-32 near Rust Rd in Rust Township. A deputy located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Everything was found to be OK.

6:03 p.m.: MCSO was notified of an erratic driver on Co Rd 459 in Hillman Township traveling eastbound. All units were advised.

10:18 p.m.: Dispatch was notified of an erratic driver on M-32 traveling westbound from Alpena County. A deputy was advised but unable to locate the vehicle described.

10:54 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of 2 suspicious subjects near the Hippie Dip in Albert Township. A deputy responded and spoke with the subjects. All was found to be OK.

July 31

2:16 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a disturbance at the Oak Leaf Manor apartments in Albert Township. Deputies responded to investigate. A 30-year-old male and a 21-year-old female were both taken into custody for resisting a police officer. They were both lodged.

9:02 a.m.: A trooper while on routine patrol initiated a traffic stop in Avery Township, the driver was found to be driving on a suspended license. He was taken into custody and lodged.

2:51 p.m.: A domestic assault in Albert Township was reported, MSP Trooper and MCSO deputy responded to the scene, the male subject has left the scene, officers searched for him, investigation is ongoing.

3:09 p.m.: An ongoing easement issue had 3 deputies responding to the scene in Avery Township; the involved parties will go to court to solve this issue.

3:44 p.m.: A report of a dog found by UPS driver Near HB Carbide in Lewiston. Dog was a small brown and black dog. MCSO Deputy picked the dog up and the dog has been taken to ECAS.

5:04 p.m.: A report was made to MCSO of two lost dogs near Stevens St in Atlanta. One dog is described as a beagle mix and the other is a chocolate lab.

6:35 p.m.: A report of a male who fell in fire and has severe burns in Green Township. Hillman EMS and MCSO responded, and the male was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

9:04 p.m.: Report was made that a verbal domestic situation was in progress in Albert Township. MCSO Deputy responded and verbal warning was issued.

9:14 p.m.: A report an ATV accident was made on Edgar Rd in Montmorency Township. MCSO Deputy and Tri Township EMS responded. Upon LE arrival, EMS was cancelled; driver did not have severe injuries.

Aug. 1

8:43 a.m.: While on routine patrol a MCSO deputy initiated a traffic stop, the driver was found to be driving without insurance. He was arrested and lodged.

12:22 p.m.: A female resident of Briley Township was injured at her residence while riding an ATV; she was transported by Tri Township EMS to the hospital.

3:13 p.m.: A domestic dispute was called into the sheriff’s department, officers responded to the scene; parties were separated. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

8:58 p.m.: A report was made that ORVs were driving on Hammond Dr in Briley Township recklessly. Michigan DNR responded, and riders were given a warning.

9:15 p.m.: A report of a male disturbing the peace in an apartment complex in Albert Township was reported. MCSO Deputies and Michigan DNR responded. Male subject was found and advised to return to his residence and leave his neighbors alone.

9:37 p.m.: A report was made in Albert Township of a loud party in a residential neighborhood. MCSO Deputies responded and advised the party to quiet down.

10 p.m.: A report was made of two people harassing others in Little Wolf Lake Campground. Michigan DNR responded, and parties were separated.

Aug. 2

1:33 a.m.: A homeowner reported that his residential alarm is going off at his home in Briley Township. MCSO Deputy responded to find the home secure.

7:55 p.m.: MCSO Deputies responded to a civil dispute in Albert Township. Male subject was given a warning to stay off the neighbor’s property.

8:40 p.m.: MCSO Dispatch received a noise complaint in Albert Township near West Twin Lake. All units were advised.
