1 more Presque Isle County resident infected

One more Presque Isle County resident today tested positive for coronavirus, according to local public health officials. No new deaths or recoveries were reported.

That means 166 Northeast Michigan residents have tested positive since the virus hit Michigan in mid-March, including 115 Alpena County residents, 25 Alcona County residents, 19 Presque Isle County residents, and seven Montmorency County residents.

Of those who tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, 139 have recovered, including 100 Alpena County residents, 20 Alcona County residents, 13 Presque Isle residents, and six Montmorency County residents.

Fifteen people have died while infected with the virus, including 13 Alpena County residents, one Presque Isle County resident, and one Alcona County resident.

The state announced 16 new deaths and 90,329 new cases of coronavirus statewide today, bringing the total number of deaths to 6,289 and the total number of cases to 90,392 cases.
