Police: Drug dealer stopped in Montmorency County

Montmorency County Sheriff’s Department deputies stopped a Gaylord man intent on distributing almost a thousand doses of methamphetamine in the county, police said..

A Lewiston business — noticing unusual behavior by a customer in the early hours of July 17 — alerted police, who, arriving shortly thereafter, found the man to be in possession of 94 grams of methamphetamine.

Terry David Short, 64, also had other items which led police to believe he intended to sell the drugs locally.

He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and is being held under a $50,000 bond.
