One more Alpena County resident infected, one more recovers

ALPENA — One more positive test in an Alpena County resident was reported over the weekend and one more resident from the county has recovered, coronavirus test numbers from local health officials show.

Alpena County now has 111 positive cases and 84 recoveries associated with the virus.

Other numbers for the region remain unchanged.

Area totals:

Positive tests – Alpena County, 111; Alcona County, 19; Presque Isle County, 13; Montmorency County, 5.

Recoveries – Alpena County, 84; Presque Isle County, 11; Alcona County, 5; Montmorency County, 5.

Deaths – Alpena County, 12; Alcona County, 1.

The state website today reported three deaths in Michigan and 297 new positive tests. On Sunday, the state reported no deaths for the first time since March.

As of July 3, 52,841 people have recovered in the state.
