ONAWAY — The husband of the Onaway woman who tested positive for COVID-19 has also tested positive for the virus.

It is the second confirmed case in Presque Isle County.

According to Glenda Bowman, who received news she had tested positive on Monday, her husband, Bill Bowman, has also tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. Local public health officials confirmed the positive test, though it was not yet reported in its online data.

Glenda Bowman said her husband had been at home ill and was taken by ambulance on Tuesday to McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey, where he was tested.

The test results returned positive on Wednesday.

Bowman said her husband is still in the hospital and said she expected he could be in for some time.

Glenda Bowman is a paramedic in Otsego County and became ill earlier this month. She is still at home recuperating. Bowman said neither she or her husband have been out into the community more than a week.
