PI Township runs out of Democratic ballots
PRESQUE ISLE TOWNSHIP — A shortage in Democratic ballots in Presque Isle Township has led to some voters leaving the poll without casting their vote.
The Presque Isle County Clerk’s office said they are exploring options that will rectify the situation and that letting people vote on the voter’s assistant terminal is an option. Why there was a shortage of ballots was not known at the time.
Township resident Sherry Milstein reported to The News that, at about 5 p.m., the polling place was out of Democratic ballots and voters were leaving because they were unable to vote for the candidate of their choice.
Township Clerk Cynthia Paavola said the ballot issue is only taking place in that precinct.
