City, township restrict access
ALPENA – The Alpena Municipal Council meeting tonight will only be available via an audio link on the internet or via telephone.
The city said the move was made to comply with the social spacing recommendations of the state and federal government to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Only essential staff members will be at the meeting.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and people can listen to the proceedings by visiting https://www.gotomeet.me/StephenShultz/city-council-meeting or calling 1-872-240-341 and using the access code 130-490-365.
Meanwhile, Alpena Township has implemented an appointment-only service for constituents while assuring residents
public works and the fire department will continue to operate.
All payments to the township must be made online, mailed, or placed in the township drop box.
