Feb. 10th

6:25 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a vehicle in the road on Fleming Rd near Co Rd 489 in Albert Township. A deputy responded to investigate and requested a tow truck to remove the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle arrived on scene while the deputy was there and arranged for the wrecker to tow the vehicle to a specific location.

9:04 a.m.: A 2-vehicle accident was reported on Co Rd 491 near Airport Rd in Albert Township. A deputy responded to investigate, and no injuries were reported.

11:36 a.m.: A DNR officer initiated a traffic stop on Co Rd 489 near Co Rd 612 in Albert Township. A 41-year-old male was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license. He was lodged.

3:06 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a residential medical alarm on Sturgis Dr in Avery Township. A deputy and EMS responded. The deputy spoke with a female at the residence and she advised it was an accident and all okay. EMS was advised to disregard.

5:10 p.m.: A trooper initiated a traffic stop on Townline Rd near Co Rd 612 in Albert Township. A 44-year-old male was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license. He was lodged.

5:48 p.m.: A trooper initiated a traffic stop in the ACE hardware parking lot in Albert Township. 42-year-old male was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license and warrants out of another jurisdiction. He was lodged.

7:01 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on Co Rd 459 near Co Rd 624. A deputy responded to the area but was unable to locate the vehicle described.

11:30 p.m.: A deputy transported a 42-year-old male to the county line for exchange of custody with Oscoda County.

Feb. 11th

4:42 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a suspicious vehicle possibly broken down on Co Rd 612 near Co Rd 487 with 2 male subjects inside. A deputy responded to check out the situation. It was found that the vehicle had hit a deer and they were waiting for their ride to come pick them up. The deputy transported them to town to wait at the store. All clear at 5:43 a.m.:.

4:17 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on M-32 near Ulshaffer Rd in Rust Township. A trooper initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle described on M-32 near Community Financial Credit Union in Hillman Township. A citation was issued.

Feb. 12th

5:00 a.m.: MCSO transported a 42-year-old female to another facility to serve time. Custody was exchanged and she was lodged there.

Feb. 14th

2:23 p.m.: A 2 vehicle crash was reported in Hillman Township; no injuries were reported. 1 driver was cited for failure to yield and the other driver was arrested on OWI charges and lodged.

8:12 p.m.: Car/deer vehicle crash was reported on M-32 west of Hillman near Combs Rd. MCSO Deputy responded and no injuries were reported.

10:36 p.m.: Commercial alarm was reported by security company at the Montmorency County Courthouse. MCSO Deputy and Michigan State Police responded and found that the building was secure.

10:42 p.m.: A single vehicle accident was reported on Pleasant Valley Rd near Elizabeth St in the Village of Hillman. Hillman Fire/EMS and MCSO Deputy responded. No injuries were reported.

Feb. 15th

8:08 p.m.: A report was made that a vehicle accident in Montmorency Township near CO RD 624. MCSO Deputy located vehicle which was abandoned. Vehicle was towed and the investigation is ongoing.

10:22 p.m.: A report of a vehicle in the ditch on M32 near M33 south. MCSO Deputy responded and no injuries were reported.

Feb. 16th

12 p.m.: A traffic stop was made by Michigan DNR on Fleming Rd. One male subject was taken into custody with charges of no proof of operator’s license and no proof of insurance.

10:28 p.m.: A commercial alarm was reported at the Montmorency County Courthouse.

MCSO Deputy responded and found the building secure.
