Turkey sharpshooters awarded
Three boys won daily grand prizes for the Take Aim BB gun shooting contest held recently during the Posen Potato Festival. More than 195 youth 17 or younger participated in the contest. Each participant received a bag of prizes provided by The National Wild Turkey Federation, Michigan United Conservation Clubs, Meijer of Alpena, ET’s Party Store of Posen, the Presque Isle Turkey Trackers Chapter of the NWTF and Posen Auto Parts.
Each of the shooters fired five shots at a turkey silhouette, guided by an adult to ensure full range safety.
The winners were Ethan Romal, Trevor Werth and Teagan Peters.
