June 3

10:30 a.m.: While on routine patrol deputies assisted two motorists, deputies cleared without incident.

3:58 p.m.: Deputies responded to a residential alarm in Vienna Township; the homeowner had set it off, deputy cleared without incident.

June 4

3:38 a.m.: A deputy responded to a noise complaint on Co Rd 459 in Hillman Township.

4:12 p.m.: A Briley Township resident came into the MCSO lobby to report ongoing harassment, report was taken.

4:15 p.m.: A Briley Township resident came into the MCSO lobby to report money was taken out of his vehicle during the night.

4:21 p.m.: A report of an erratic driver in Rust Township was made to the MCSO. A MSP Trooper initiated a traffic stop, subject was advised of the report of erratic driving.

9:43 p.m.: A report of woods on fire on County Rd 489 Albert Township was made to MCSO; Lewiston Fire/EMS responded. 1-2 acres burned fire was contained without incidents.

June 5

6:06 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a residential burglar alarm on Cobb Rd in Albert Township. Deputies were dispatched. The owner called to advise it was a false alarm and all okay.

9:31 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a verbal dispute at the Sunrise gas station in Albert Township. Deputies responded to investigate.

June 6

6:29 a.m.: Dispatch received a call about a noise complaint on M-32 in Briley Township. A deputy made contact and asked the subject to turn it down.

3:37 p.m.: A deputy transported a 42-year-old male from Alpena Co to MCSO with a MCSO warrant. He was lodged.

June 7

9:17 a.m.: A welfare check on a Village of Hillman resident was requested, contact was made with subjects’ mother, all was as it should be.

1:28 p.m.: A not-in-progress breaking and entering was reported in Montmorency Township, deputies responded, and this is still under investigation.

4:01 p.m.: A Briley Township resident contacted MCSO to report cows out; a deputy responded; the owner put his cows back in the fence.

4:05 p.m.: A welfare check was requested on children that reside in Briley Township, no one was at the residence when officers arrived.

9:27 p.m.: DNR responded to complaint of jet skiers on Twin Lake driving erratically. Unfounded.

June 8

7:27 a.m.: A Briley Township resident contacted MCSO regarding a barking dog complaint, the dogs were not barking at the time of the call.

11:02 a.m.: Another jurisdiction contacted MCSO because they had a subject in custody that had warrants out of Montmorency, a deputy met the Trooper and lodged the subject.

3:14 p.m.: While on routine ORV patrol in Briley Township, officers initiated a traffic stop, the driver of the ORV was found to be suspended, suspect was taken into custody and lodged.

9:57 p.m.: A Briley township resident reported that there were 10-12 cows and horses roaming out of their pen. The owner put their own animals back in their pen.

10:02 p.m.: A Briley township resident reported a 30×30 fire in the woods behind his residence. Tri Township Fire responded fire was contained and discovered that a branch on the powerline was cause of the fire.

June 9

6:51 a.m.: A Briley Township resident reported an abandoned pontoon on the river near his residence. Pontoon found to have mechanical issue.

9:29 a.m.: A Briley Township resident came to lobby and reported an erratic driver by the public access to Lake Fifteen. Officers were unable to locate vehicle.

1:16 p.m.: Deputies assisted motorist on Veterans Memorial Highway in Hillman.

4:26 p.m.: Sunrise BP called to report male distraught and acting strange at the gas station. Deputies made contact with subject and advised him to leave.

4:30 p.m.: Hillman Township resident called to report a golden retriever at large on M 32. Deputies took possession of dog and dog is lodged at the Elk County Animal Shelter.

6:37 p.m.: A deputy responded to a noise complaint on M 32 Atlanta, Briley Township.

6:47 p.m.: Deputies, Hillman EMS/Fire responded to a 2 car accident on State St in Hillman. No injuries reported.

6:55 p.m.: A not-in-progress breaking and entering was reported in Vienna Township, deputies responded, and this is still under investigation.

7:08 p.m.: Deputies responded to a 2 car PDA accident on State Street in Hillman. No injuries reported.

7:18 p.m.: A not-in-progress breaking and entering was reported in Briley Township, deputies responded, and this is still under investigation.

9:26 p.m.: A residential alarm activated in Briley Township. Security contacted owner; alarm found to be false.

10:22 p.m.: A fight in progress was reported behind Chatter’s Bull Pen. Deputies responded and no charges were pressed.
