May 20

6:11 p.m.: Deputies picked up and transported a subject with valid warrants out of Montmorency County, subject was lodged.

6:33 p.m.: A MCSO deputy spoke with 2 individuals in Avery Township in reference to a property line dispute.

May 21

7:29 a.m.: An Albert Township resident contacted MCSO in reference to an assault that occurred at a business; a deputy responded; investigation is ongoing.

1:10 p.m.: An adjoining county contacted MCSO regarding an erratic driver, a deputy located vehicle and spoke with driver.

8:39 p.m.: A welfare check was requested on subjects in Vienna Township, all subjects were found to be fine, officer cleared without incident.

10:47 p.m.: A MCSO deputy responded to a noise complaint in Briley Township, homeowner turned music down and officer cleared without incident.

May 22

10:18 a.m.: A welfare check was requested on a Briley Township resident, subject was found to be out of town, deputy cleared without incident.

12:29 p.m.: An Albert Township resident contacted MCSO regarding an abandoned tent, a deputy responded, nothing suspicious was found.

10:42 p.m.: During a routine traffic stop on Co Rd 612 near Sage Lake Rd in Albert Township, a deputy took into custody a 40 year old male for violating a restricted license. He was lodged.

May 23

7:59 a.m.: Dispatch was notified of a vehicle driving erratically on Co Rd 612 traveling West near Co Rd 487 in Albert Township. A deputy was advised.

3:33 p.m.: Dispatch received a call about a single vehicle rollover on Carter Rd near M-33 S in Rust Township. Law enforcement, EMS, and fire were dispatched. No injuries were reported, and a tow truck was called for the vehicle. All clear at 5:02 p.m.

May 24

1:33 a.m.: A deputy stopped to assist a vehicle on the side of the road on M-33 N near Co Rd 624. It was found that the vehicle hit a deer. No injuries were reported.

2:04 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on M-33 S near Co Rd 612 traveling North in Loud Township. Deputies located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was found to be okay and traveling to a cabin nearby.

10:29 a.m.: A Briley Township resident contacted MCSO in reference to a tree blocking the road, the Road Commission was contacted to take care of the tree.

11:56 a.m.: Multiple calls came into MCSO in reference to horses loose on M32 W; law enforcement responded, and owner was advised her horses were loose, owner put horses back into their fence without incident.

12:03 A call came into MCSO in reference to a PD Crash, no injuries were reported; it was found to be in Alpena County, call was transferred to ACCD.

1:05 p.m.: A Hillman Township resident called regarding an ongoing property dispute.

1:57 p.m.: A business owner in Briley Township called in reference to a vehicle that had been left in her lot; owner of vehicle was notified, and vehicle was removed without incident.

2:28 p.m.: A Briley Township resident called to report that a deer had been hit in front of her house and she believed it was partially blocking the roadway, a deputy responded and removed the deer from the roadway.

7:16 p.m.: While on patrol a MSP Trooper initiated a traffic stop in Avery Township, driver was found to be under the influence, driver was arrested and lodged.

9:45 p.m.: MCSO received a 911 regarding a house on fire due to the stove blowing up, no injuries were reported, MSP Trooper, MCSO deputies, Tri Township Fire an EMS; and Hillman Fire all responded.

May 25

2:07 p.m.: A DNR officer contacted MCSO to report he was out with an ATV accident in Loud Township, subject was transported to seek medical attention by family.

2:49 p.m.: A Briley Township resident called requesting officers to the area of Avery Lake for ATV’s that were tearing up the road, ORV officers responded, unable to locate subjects but will be watching for the subjects that had been tearing up the road.

5:22 p.m.: While on routine patrol, MCSO deputies initiated a traffic stop in Avery Township, subject was found to be driving under the influence; driver was arrested and lodged.

6:40 p.m.: A call came into MCSO to inform us that there was a tree blocking the road in Vienna Township, caller was unable to move tree, Vienna Fire was dispatched and responded to remove the tree.

7:40 p.m.: A Rust Township resident contacted MCSO regarding a female subject at his residence who was intoxicated and yelling, MSP Trooper responded, female subject was found to have multiple warrants out of an adjoining county, subject was taken into custody on those warrants and transported.

9:45 p.m.: Tri Twp Fire/EMS and Hillman Fire responded to a structure fire in Avery Township on Black Rd. A MSP trooper and a DNR officer also responded. No one was injured. The residence was totally engulfed with flames when the first unit arrived.

May 26

6:28 a.m.: A 1 vehicle PI Crash was reported, no injuries; MCSO deputy, Station 2 Fire and EMS all responded to the scene.

11:10 a.m.: A Briley Township resident reported ATV’s that were tearing up the road and property adjoining theirs, a deputy responded spoke with the owners of the ATV’s and cleared without incident.

2:33 p.m.: Dispatch received a call regarding a fire on the ground in Albert Township, Albert Township Fire and EMS responded, fire was put out and all cleared without incident.

3:07 p.m.: A Village of Hillman resident requested to speak with a DNR officer in reference to a bear that had been near his residence sometime during the night, contact was made with the DNR.

5:12 p.m.: Deputies responded to a verbal dispute in the Village of Hillman, subject was then transported to the hospital by Station 3 EMS.

7:48 p.m.: A deputy responded to a report of an ATV speeding and tearing up the roads in the Twin Dams Subdivision in Hillman Township.

10:23 p.m.: Deputies, Tri Twp EMS and a MSP trooper responded to a fireworks complaint at the Decheau Lake boat launch area. Subjects were lighting off fireworks when one exploded low to the ground and injuring one person. A male went to OMH by personal vehicle, a second male was also having medical issues and was transported to OMH by Tri Twp EMS.

May 27

1:07 a.m.: During a traffic stop on Co Rd 612 in Albert Twp a 62 year old male from Grayling was taken into custody for operating while intoxicated. He was lodged.
