MidMichigan Health now accepting nurse residency applications

MIDLAND — The Nurse Residency Program at MidMichigan Health is now accepting applications from graduating nurses, the hospital group said in a news release.

The residencies in Emergency Nursing and Critical Care will provide six months of additional training and mentorship for nurses. Upon successful completion of the program, nurses will have completed all relevant life support certifications, have worked directly with a preceptor for six months and be ready to work in any fast-paced and sophisticated emergency department or intensive care unit. In addition, the nurses will have earned a guaranteed job offer from MidMichigan Health.

Only six slots are available for the nurse residencies, which begin Jan. 14. Newly graduated nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and less than one year of experience as a registered nurse are eligible.

Registered nurses interested in applying for the program may contact nursingresidency.program@midmichigan.org or visit midmichigan.org/nurseresidency.
