MSP Alpena Post trooper Justin Clark promoted to Sergeant

The Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post is proud to announce the promotion of Justin Clark to the rank of sergeant.

Sgt. Clark is a native of Alpena. He began his career with the MSP in 2015 as a member of the 128th Trooper Recruit School. Sgt. Clark’s first assignment was at the MSP St. Ignace Post, where he served as a trooper for two and a half years. He then transferred to the MSP Alpena Post where he continued to serve as a trooper for almost nine years.

During Sgt. Clark’s tenure, he served as a field training officer, MSP recruiter, technology liaison officer, standardized field sobriety test instructor, and is a member and instructor of the MSP Tactical Bike Team. Additionally, Sgt. Clark is a criminal justice instructor at Alpena Community College.

Sergeants at the Alpena Post are responsible for the supervision of troopers and a multitude of administrative tasks. Sgt. Clark currently oversees the MSP cadet program and the traffic enforcement vehicle, assists with time accounting, and manages the in-car video and body worn camera systems.
