ALPENA – MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena volunteers will kicked off its annual Koeze Nut Sale and Raffle on Monday.
The event will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Dec. 12 and will be held in front of The Gift Corner near the hospital’s main entrance lobby.
All the money raised will support ongoing projects and pledges for patient care and updated technology at the Medical Center.
The sale has appealed to donors and shoppers for many years and features a variety of specialty candy and nuts to help celebrate the holiday season. Items are sourced primarily from Michigan companies: Koeze, established in 1910, of Grand Rapids, and St. Laurent Brothers of Bay City. This year’s raffle consists of three prizes. The grand prize winner will take home the Koeze Opulent Basket valued at over $500.
Cindy Hartman, Koeze Nut Sale chairperson and co-chair, Randy Hartman, encourage shoppers to visit the Medical Center to make purchases. They also welcome orders placed by phone for car-side service.
Those interested in more information or placing an order may contact Elizabeth Larsen, Volunteer Coordinator, at elizabeth.larsen@mymichigan.org or by calling (989) 356-7546.
