Alpena Public Schools Superintendent Dave Rabbideau confirmed that a student at Thunder Bay Junior High brought a BB gun to school in their backpack on Thursday.

The student said that they had forgotten the BB gun was in there.

There was never any threat to others, Rabbideau said.
