Kristin Elizabeth Englund and David Andrew VanKampen exchanged their wedding vows Dec. 29, 2012, at Harbor Life Church in Grandville. Rev. Thomas Elenbaas and Rev. Douglas McClintic officiated the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Mary Beth Englund of Alpena. The groom is the son of Allen and Mary VanKampen of Portage.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Elissa Englund, sister of the bride. Serving as bridesmaid was Jenny VanKampen, sister of the groom.

Attending the groom as best man was Alex Inkster, friend of the groom. Serving as groomsman was Jonathan Englund, brother of the bride. Serving as ushers were Peter, Joseph and Matthew Guest, cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at The Cheney Place in Grand Rapids. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Mangiamo’s in Grand Rapids.

Kristin is a 2005 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2009 graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is employed by The Reformed Church in America as the coordinator for volunteer engagement.

Dave is a 2005 graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School, a 2009 graduate of Calvin College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a 2012 graduate of Marquette University with a Master’s Degree in Computing. He is employed by GE Aviation as a software engineer.

The couple traveled to San Francisco for their honeymoon. They are residing in Hudsonville.
