Veterans open houses in Alpena

In an effort to introduce veterans who are not already enrolled in VA health care, to their closest VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, and meet the staff, the following VA open house and enrollment events are planned in Alpena.

From 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 21, March 21, and April 18, veterans are invited to the Lt. Col. Clement C. VanWagoner Veterans Affairs Clinic at 180 N. State St. in Alpena.

Alpena medical lab retirees to meet Feb. 21

MidMichigan (ARMC) laboratory retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at Mango’s Tequila Bar on Chisholm Street in Alpena for their monthly luncheon.

Amateur radio group to meet

The Alcona County Amateur Radio Group will hold a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the EMS/EOC building, 2600 East M-72.

Free refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend.
