Bay Athletic Club will hold its annual Gala at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Fletcher Street Depot in Alpena.

The event celebrates those members who have been featured on air in WBKB’s 60-second inspiration stories in 2018.

“They feature a member who’s transformed their life through fitness,” said Sarah Morrison, communications director for Bay Athletic Club. “The gala honors all of them.”

“We have 25 people who shared their story last year,” Morrison said. “This is a fun night out, get dressed up, we have a program, we watch their stories, they get to share a little bit more. It is just life-changing stuff.”

She said they have featured high schoolers at one time in this celebration.

“I remember thinking, these kids are gonna have a better life because they found fitness right now,” Morrison said. “It changed their confidence, it changed their outlook on life. It’s just game-changing.”

The community is invited to this event, which features appetizers, drinks and desserts.
