Christmas in Presque Isle celebration on Dec. 6

Presque Isle community partners have put together a schedule of activities for their Christmas in Presque Isle celebration that will take place on Dec. 6 throughout the day.

According to Mary Tagliareni, from the Presque Isle Township Museum Society, there will be activities suitable for all ages.

“Plan to bring your family and neighbors along to participate in the fun!” she said in an email.

The event schedule includes the following:

10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. — Children’s stories at the Grand Lake Library.

11 a.m. to 7 p.m. — Refreshments, sales, and raffle baskets at Ida Mae’s Portage Deli.

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. — A lunch of hotdogs, chili, chips, and beverages at East Grand Lake Fire Hall.

1 to 2 p.m. — A Christmas carol sing-along at the Grand Lake Chapel.

1 to 4 p.m. — Horse drawn wagon rides, Presque Isle Township Parks and Recreation story walk, photos with Santa, decorated house tours, and children’s crafts at the New Lighthouse Park.

1 to 7 p.m. — Donation collection of children sized hats, gloves, mittens, and socks.

4:30 p.m. — Lighthouse trails hike with the Presque Isle Harbor Association at the New Lighthouse Park.

6 p.m. — Christmas Tree Lighting at the New Lighthouse Park.
