Girl Scouts of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena created a gift basket for the patients of Alpena Cancer Center. Orange pumpkins with a bag of candy corn attached were taken to the Cancer Center and presented to Amy Dacey and Carol Rundell. Representing the Troop were Kahlan Mousseau, Emma Kinsel, Elianna Haglund, Ella Papineau, Harper Woolman and Kenna Mousseau. Troop leaders are Susan Bustillos, Joyce Langerfeld, Trudy Mousseau, Karen and Mandy Newhouse, Laura Peterson and Bronwyn Woolman. The Scouts all know either a family member or friends that have been affected by cancer and wanted to show support for cancer patients. The founder of Girl Scouts, Juliette Low, died from breast cancer, so this is a project that is very meaningful to all Girl Scouts.
