Girl Scouts of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Alpena recently helped the church celebrate its 150th Anniversary. Some troop members modeled in a “Stroll Through History” fashion show. Other members helped serve a lunch and all helped clean up afterwards. The Scouts were able to model Girl Scout uniforms of different decades. Beginning on the left is Joyce Langerfeld wearing a uniform from the 1920s where the badges were sewn on the sleeves. Kahlan Mousseau is wearing a Cadette Senior uniform from 2000. The 1970 Brownie Jumper is worn by Hailey Stauffer. Emma Kinsel is modeling her own Junior vest from 2021. Hannah Stauffer is modeling a 1990 Senior Girl Scout uniform. Harper Woolman is wearing a 1960 Brownie dress with a Brownie Beanie on her head. Atiya Woolman wears a green uniform with a beret that was introduced in 1930. Kenna Mousseau models Brownie shorts, shirt and sash from the 1960s. An adult 1960 uniform is worn by Audra Woolman. The green 1950 Junior GIrl Scout dress is worn by Evelyn Woolman. Kelsy Woolman models the stylish kelly green 1980 uniform. Wearing a 1980 green slacks and shirt is Mira Briley. St. Paul Lutheran Church has sponsered Girl Scout troops since the late 1930s and we are very grateful that they do!
