VFW steak dinner Aug. 6

The Alpena VFW Post 2496 is hosting a steak dinner, open to the public, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6. The cost is $15 per person.

The meal includes porterhouse or T-bone steak, baked potato bar, salad, dinner roll and dessert. Tickets can be purchased prior to Aug. 6 at the VFW Lounge, 2900 Connon St., Alpena.

Pin-Ups on Tour Aug. 6-7

The Alpena VFW Post 2496 will host Pin-Ups on Tour, a show for ages 18 and older, on Friday, Aug. 6, and Saturday, Aug. 7, at the VFW Hall, 2900 Connon St., Alpena. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. both nights.Tickets are $20 per person, available to the public. Free tickets are available to veterans. Nautical Festival Kiddie Parade Aug. 4 in R.C.

The Nautical Festival Kiddie Parade will be held on Aug. 4 in Rogers City.

This year’s theme is “150 Years of Sports.”

Sign-up starts at 5 p.m., and the parade will begin at 6 p.m. Line up in the Westminster Presbyterian Church parking lot.

The kiddie parade is sponsored by the GFWC Rogers City Women’s Civic League.
