SUNRISE SIDE BULLETIN BOARD

Hospital collecting diabetic socks

In honor of National Foot Health Awareness Month, MidMichigan Health’s Wound Treatment Centers are collecting diabetic socks April 19 through May 9 to benefit patients in need. The socks will be provided to patients with diabetes, helping them prevent diabetic ulcers.

Those who would like to donate diabetic socks may look for donation bins marked “Knock Your Socks Off” in the lobbies of MidMichigan Medical Centers and Wound Treatment Centers in Alpena. Individuals may also fill out a contest entry form at the drop-off locations for a chance to win a gift card.

Individuals are asked to donate only clean, new socks in their original packaging.
