High school junior young women who will be graduating in 2022 from across Michigan are invited to participate in the Distinguished Young Women of Michigan Scholarship Program. All interested participants can apply by going to www.distinguishedyw.org and clicking on “Apply Now.” Additional information and program details will be emailed to all interested applicants.

Participants are evaluated in the following categories: Scholastics (25%), Interview Skills (25%), Performing Arts Talent (20%), Physical Fitness (15%), and Self-Expression (15%). This transformative program will include life skills workshops including interview skills and mentorship programs.

The State Scholarship Program will be held virtually on Saturday, July 24, where thousands of dollars in college scholarships and college granted scholarships will be awarded.

The participant selected as the Distinguished Young Woman of Michigan will advance to the national level at the 64th Distinguished Young Women National Finals in Mobile, Alabama, in June 2022. She will join with 51 other representatives from across the country, with the opportunity to earn college scholarships and represent the program as the Distinguished Young Woman of America.
