Volunteers are needed for a pop-up pantry at 2 p.m. on Friday at Northern Lights Arena in Alpena.

The event is sponsored by Feed the Need Alpena and the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.

Food will be distributed from 2 p.m. until the food is gone, and distribution may start early because of traffic overflow. Please stay in your cars and have your trunk cleared out. No smoking is allowed onsite, and no public restroom will be available onsite.

This is a first-come, first-served event with a limited supply of food.
