Baby pantry to reopen Thurs.

The Alpena Baby Pantry located at 319 Lockwood Street will reopen from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday. Patrons are asked to wear masks, wait outside and only one family member at a time. Social distancing will be expected.

Because the pantry could not accept donations during its closure, they are in need of infant and toddler clothing, sizes newborn through toddler 4T, baby equipment, diapers and wipes.

Relay for Life casino trip canceled

The Alpena Relay for Life casino trip that had been scheduled for Sept. 19 has been canceled due to precautions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a huge fundraiser for the Relay for Life team, so they hope to pick it back up next spring.

CCHS 60th reunion reset for Aug. 2021

The CCHS Class of 1960 has postponed its 60th reunion that had been scheduled for Aug. 15 of this year, because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Aug. 14, 2021 is the tentative rescheduled date for the reunion. Classmates will be notified by mail of this change.

Free produce in RC June 26

Free produce will be available to help community members in need from noon to 1:30 p.m. on June 26 at the Rogers City Area Senior and Community Center, 131 E. Superior St.

This will be a sign-in and drive-through event, open to anyone and everyone who needs food.
