HARRISVILLE — A little over 100 citizens showed up to a peace march in downtown Harrisville on Sunday. These photos from the event were provided by Joe Lukasiewicz.

The event was dubbed a “Walk to Support Peace and Justice for All People, demonstrating our concern for equal justice for all people and encouraging peaceful actions to remedy the history of racial injustice in our country.”

The group gathered in front of the Alcona Coffee Shop, 110 East Main St. in Harrisville beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m.

“It will be a fairly short walk but hopefully an opportunity for people to peacefully express their opinions regarding the need for equality and justice in America,” organizers stated.
