Dr. Daniele Knight has been selected as one of five finalists in the United States for American Humane’s Hero Veterinarian Award.

The seventh annual American Humane Hero Veterinarian and Hero Veterinary Nurse Awards honor the heroes who dedicate their lives to making a difference in animals’ lives through delivery of outstanding veterinary care. The ultimate winner will be selected by popular vote via the American Humane website at http://herovetawards.org.

“Dr. Knight is an incredibly compassionate, dedicated and generous person that was selected because of her work with the Huron Humane Society, Second Chance Animal Shelter (ACAF) and NE Michigan’s Trap-Neuter-Release,” a press release from Switzer Veterinary Clinic stated. “She deserves the title ‘hero’ and is most definitely ours.”

Voting is open now until Aug. 13, and you can vote every day for her. You do have to choose a veterinary nurse as well to be able to cast your vote.
