Girl Scouts of Troop 1033 from St. Paul Lutheran Church recently spent time putting together feral cat shelters for the Northeast Michigan Trap-Neuter-Return program. Patty Lance and Cindy Morris came to two early March meetings to teach the Scouts how to put together the shelters. The Scouts and leaders appreciated the time and effort the two volunteers put into working with Troop 1033. The Scouts also put together dog beds for the Alpena County Animal Facility. Four eighth-grade Cadettes are completing their Silver Award requirments. The Scouts are Madelyn Mills, Alexis Dekett, Jazzmyne Brege and Grace Ryan. Leaders are Bronwyn Woolman and Trudy Mousseau.
