Art in the Loft offers digital classes for kids

Although classes at Art in the Loft have been canceled until further notice, Executive Director Justin Christensen-Cooper is offering a digital version of their popular ArtPOP toddler classes.

“Given the circumstances and to keep our youngest artists healthy, we are canceling all ArtPOP and Messy Hands classes until further notice,” Art in the Loft’s Facebook page stated. “Not to worry! Mr. Justin is working on a very special digital ArtPOP video for you and your amazing kiddos to watch and follow at home!”

The first video will be online this morning, Christensen-Cooper said. It is for ages 18 months to 4 years old, and includes a story and instruction with kids their age.

“We may do a series of them,” Christensen-Cooper said of the ArtPOP videos.

The whole theme of this week’s video is spring flowers and the children are using coloring sheets done by Alpena native Elissa Sweet.

Refunds for prepaid classes will be given upon request, or can be used toward future classes.

To watch the video and for updates, visit artintheloft.org, or Art in the Loft on Facebook.
