Mature man ice fishing on frozen lake

The 12th annual Reel Fun Ice Fishing Tournament will be held on Grand Lake on Saturday.

Information is available at icefishingalpena.com or on Facebook. There is a need for volunteers to monitor the site on Grand Lake that day.

Anyone wishing to volunteer should contact Roger Witherbee at 989-340-0761. The gates open at 9 a.m. and fishing begins at noon until 3 p.m.

Tickets, at $30 per hole, are available at Top O’Michigan Insurance, Clem’s Bait Shop, Buck’s Bait Shop and Adrian’s in Rogers City.

The tournament is preceded tonight with the Festivus dinner at the APlex. Tickets, at $25 each, are available at Jimmie Garant’s Party Store, Muddy Paws Grooming and the Fresh Palate. A 50/50 raffle, elegant first table, shanty raffle and many outdoors prizes at a choice raffle.
