MiKaela Bannon, daughter of Bill and Missy Bannon of Rogers City, recently won the title Miss Shoreline 2020 this past weekend in Muskegon, Michigan. Bannon is a senior at Rogers City High School.

The recent competition is a local preliminary to the Miss America 2.0 (MAO), the largest scholarship program for women in the world.

In addition to winning the title, Bannon wins a $1,000 scholarship she will use when she attends Northern Michigan University this fall. Bannon will be a proud candidate alongside 20 other hopeful ladies as they compete for the title of Miss Michigan, to be held at the historical Frauenthal Theater in Muskegon, June 18 and 20.

Bannon has been involved in MAO since the age of 13 when she began her journey winning titles such as Miss Sunrise Side’s Outstanding Teen 2015, Miss Huron Shores’ Outstanding Teen 2017, Miss West Michigan’s Outstanding Teen 2019, and placed First Runner-Up overall at last year’s Miss Michigan’s Outstanding Teen 2019.
