The Hillman VFW 2356 Auxiliary Relief Fundraiser “Tree of Shining Lights” will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 19. Veteran Mick McIntire will be lighting the tree for the program.

Purchase your light in memory of or in honor of your chosen veteran prior to Dec. 16. Purchase a light bulb for $5 or a personalized ornament for $6. You will be given the ornament to keep after the holiday.

All proceeds go to the Auxiliary’s relief fund and programs. The Auxiliary wishes a safe, healthy and happy holiday season to all.

The Scholarship Banquet for the Voice of Democracy, Patriot Pen, Teacher of the Year, and Patriotic Art will be held at 4 p.m. April 4, 2020, at the VFW Hall. A dinner will be held following the awards presentation. Teachers, superintendents and students have made this program a huge success.

Sons, brothers, and fathers are eligible to join the Auxiliary under their father, mother, brother, sister, daughter, son or grandparent that served in a war.
