Senior Center casino trip Monday

A 501 River Tours Casino Trip to Turtle Creek Casino in Williamsburg will be held on Monday.

The trip is $40 per person, which must be paid in advance of getting on the bus. Arrive at the Alpena Senior Citizens Center at 8 a.m. before the bus departs at 9 a.m. The bus will return to the senior center at about 7 p.m.

New knit/crochet group starting

Presque Isle District Library’s Grand Lake Branch is starting up a knitting and crocheting group.

Knitters and crocheters of all skill levels are welcome to join this new group, which will hold its first meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and will meet each Tuesday thereafter.

Meetings will be at the Grand Lake Library Banner Room, 18132 Lake Esau Highway, Presque Isle. For more information, call 989-595-5051.
