Art in the Loft reception today, classes Sunday

Art in the Loft will host an artist reception at 6 p.m. today for “Winterview 2019,” juried art exhibit on display through March 7.

Then on Sunday, Cookie Decorating with Cookies by Hannah, for ages 13 and up, is offered in two sessions, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., for $35 at Art in the Loft.

Farmers market in Rogers City

A Winter Farmers Market is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at Presque Isle District Library in Rogers City.

MEA meeting Tuesday

MEA Retired will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alpena County Library for a potluck lunch and silent auction for the scholarship fund.

Keynote speaker is Anne Gentry, Downtown Development Authority director. The Michigan Education Association will provide meat, coffee and water.

Members are asked to bring a dish to pass and a quality item for the auction.
