For several years members of Alpena’s Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, a professional society for women educators, have donated gifts for children in transitional housing of Hope Shore Alliance. Jan Melville, DKG’s HSA committee chair, and Ann Hardesty, president of DKG, pose by the DKG tree at Besser Museum with some of the Christmas gifts given for the project by the membership. In addition to toys and games, members of the organization also give monetary donations. Trees in the Besser Museum’s Season of Light will be on display through Jan. 5.
