Christmas bell

A talented group of area singers has been diligently rehearsing for the past six weeks, preparing to present a benefit cantata at Rogers City’s Peace Lutheran Church on Sunday. The 3 p.m. presentation, “Let the Whole World Sing,” will also feature selected soloists, Peace Bell Choir, and a post-concert social reception.

Beneficiary of this Christmas season concert is Friends Together, which focuses on people helping people touched by cancer. A freewill offering will be accepted and donated to the Alpena-based group which has, for 20-plus years, offered support, financial assistance, guidance and reassurance to cancer patients and their families within the northern Michigan communities in a time when they might otherwise feel isolated and on a very lonely journey.
