Cornelius writes about heaven
Book signing Saturday at Olivet
Mike Cornelius, known for his Hubbard Lake history books, has now written a booklet describing what heaven will be like. The booklet is called “Today you will be with me in Paradise! What will it be like?”
A book signing will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Olivet Book & Gift in downtown Alpena.
“I wrote this booklet for two reasons,” Cornelius said. “One, it’s for those who don’t know where they’re going when they die, to help them understand what’s available to them. And two, so that those who have chosen to go with Jesus to paradise can get a glimpse of how phenomenally delightful it will be.”
The back cover reads: “What will it be like in heaven? Death can be scary! So sudden… So complete… So absolute… So final.”
Cornelius explains what the Bible says about heaven.
“Everything we experience on this Earth is temporary,” the back cover continues. “In time, it will be gone. However, God has something permanent in store for those who love him. A place of wonder and delight beyond imagination. A place where we will meet him and enjoy his fascinating personality and creation forever.”
The booklet is published by Sarge Publications and printed by Allegra Printing of Alpena. It follows two other booklets he has written, “What God Wants: The Simple Truth,” and “Only Bad People Go to Heaven.” Those will also be available Saturday, as well as his Hubbard Lake history books. The hardcover coffee table books are titled, “Vol. 1: Hubbard Lake Michigan: Reflections… 1600 — early 1900s,” “Vol. 2: Hubbard Lake Michigan: Panoramas & Personalities, 1900 to 1950s,” “Vol. 3: Hubbard Lake Michigan: Past & Present, 1960 — 2012,” and “Vol. 4: 140 Years of Hunting & Fishing at Hubbard Lake!”
