POP Art Pets has been rescheduled to Aug. 22, so there is still time to submit your pet’s photo and register for this class at Art in the Loft. Photos must be submitted by Saturday to classes@artintheloft.org.

Submit a photo of your beloved pet, and Art in the Loft will do the conversion, then you will paint a vivid picture of your pet. Utilizing bright colors, under the guidance of local artist Danyeal Dorr, your pet will become a masterpiece to hang on your wall.

Dorr, a Harrisville native, became interested in art at a very young age. Encouraged and inspired by her high school art teacher, she went on to pursue an education in the arts. She earned her BS in Art History with a studio focus with a minor in Historic Preservation from Kendall College of Art and Design. She currently teaches painting and ceramics at Alpena Community College and is a personal gallery curator for various local businesses.
